Are you planning a skiing trip for the family and plan on camping in the process? Well if you are you should check out the Sequoia National Park in California during the winter time. This campground also has some of the largest trees in the world. There is a lot of history in the Sequoia National Park.

That makes it perfect for any one taking a family to show the kids the history of the national park. To get to the park you need to take highway 99 or 65 East to highway 198. If you take highway 195 all the way down you will see the park entrance to the Sequoia National Park. There is access to campgrounds that allow you to use RVs parking for camping. You should know that there is a few water areas that you can go see during your stays in the Sequoia National Park.

The national park is full of the tallest trees in the world so you will find many places contain shady areas. Also there is pool access that’s found outside of the national park at some hotels nearby. If you plan on bringing a feline friend or dog you should know they going to be allowed in the campgrounds and picnic areas, but there not allowed on trails. There is a 6 feet leash rule and you have to put the dog on a leash in order for him to walk safely.

The pet there need to be watch at all times, which means you have to be with them at all times. Also you should know that there is wild life that can be a danger to your pets or visa versa. This means it’s important to make sure you take care of your animal at all times. There are tents allowed in this national park as long as you don’t get within ½ mile of traffic.

If you plan on bringing the family you should know this is a perfect national park for them to learn about the trees. You also can take them skiing in certain times of the year, which means fun winter activities. There is telephone access that’s found in the park facilities and at the entrance. You should know that there is hook ups for the RV in order to have electricity and running water. The other thing you need to know is the fees to get into the park and camp.

There are many campgrounds where you can camp and they all have different prices. The Entrance fees are between $10 and $20 depending on how you plan to enter the park. The other thing you need to do is to check out the prices for each campground. The prices range depending on how big the RV is and the ranges are from $30 to $50. You should know during certain seasons you have snow and you have hot weather during summer. The place is excellent for anyone that wanting to go all year round.
