If you are in the area of Florida, or if you would like to go on a fantastic vacation that will last you a lifetime then we recommend that you go to the Everglades National Park as you will find many activities that you will be able to do in this national park. The Everglades National Park is sitting on 1,399,078.26 acres of land. In the year 1999, the total visits to the Everglades National Park during the year 1999 was 1,073,982. Throughout the years, the visitors of this park have increased as it is becoming more recognized and more popular.

The Everglades National Park will be open throughout the year. The highest amount of visitation occurs during the months of December through April and the lowest visitation happens from the middle of May through November. Amongst all of the activities, you will have canoe trails, walking trails, and tram and boat tours. Not to mention, there is an excellent view of wildlife including both temperate and tropical birds as well as alligators, which is very popular in the state of Florida.

The Everglades National Park is an excellent place where the water, earth and sky will be blending in with the low green landscape.
Entrance Fees
Non-Commercial Vehicle - $10.00 for a seven day pass
Individual on foot or bike - $5.00 for a seven day pass
A yearly pass to the Everglades - $25.00

Camping
If you are looking to camp inside the Everglades National Park, then you are in luck as there are three campgrounds located inside the park. These three campgrounds are Flamingo, Chekika and Pine Key. All of these campgrounds will be open throughout the year and you will be able to make reservations for Flamingo and Long Pine Key Campgrounds by calling (800) 365-2267. At all campgrounds from the month of May through October you will be going through self-registration. Fees for the campgrounds will not be charged from the month of June to the month of August.

The Everglades National Park is sometimes referred to as being the river of grass. Everglades National Park is known for being the third biggest park in the United States of America, outside of the state of Alaska as it has 1.5 million acres. When you go to the Everglades National park, you should plan on staying here for a couple of days in order to truly get a feel of what the park has to offer.

Things to Do
As you are going through the Everglades, you will find that there are a vast number of things that you will be able to do. Some of the activities you will be able to do as you are in the Everglades National Park is fishing, hiking, birding, camping, photography, snorkeling, swimming, ranger led activities and even wildlife watching. It seems that wildlife watching is one of the most popular activities as you are in this park.
